Have you ever been to “Tsukiji outer market”??

Tsukiji is the most famous fishing port in Japan and Tsukiji outer market is the beggest fish market in Japan.

 

I went there last month. That was so amazing!!

 

So, I will shere you about Tsukiji outer market here.

 

 

 

How to go to Tsukiji outer market

 

 

 

LOCATION: Tsukiji, Chuo Ku, Tokyo To, 104-0045, Japan

 MAP

 

(1) a 6 minutes walk from TSUKIJI(築地) tokyo metro station

 

If you find the exit No.1 , that is the nearest route from Tsukiji station.

 

 

(2) a 3 minutes walk from TSUKIJISIJO(築地市場) toei transportation station

 

If you find the exit No.A3 , that is the nearest route from Tsukijisijo station.

 

 

OPENING TIME: 5:00~14:00 (depends on the shops)

 

Many shops are closed on Sunday and public holidays.

 

Some shops are opened untill dinner time, so you should look for website in advance.

 

 

How to enjoy Tsukiji outer market

 

 

 

Tsukiji outer market is opened in the morning. Most shops are closed by lunchtime around 2PM.

 

Although I went to there at 9AM, many people were already there.

 

So if you want to enjoy there, you have to go until 9AM.

 

And  some restaurant start lunchtime from 10AM.

 

I serched the restaurant where I wanna go in advance, then arrived there 1hour before they open.

At the opentime, there is a so long line. 

 

It’s the tip to have fun that you have to be ready to eat by the shop is opened.

Because that’s a kind of early to eat lunch. I skipped breakfast to be honest haha 

 

 

Cochi’s recommendations

 

⓵Sushi

 

Assorted 3kinds of Tuna/ Kochi Takashin Suisan

 

The shop has a block of fish fillet and fish eggs.  And also you can get sushi on the cash counter.

You need to order to clerks.

 

 

 

 

②Japanese omelette

 

Dashimaki tamago/ Marutake

 

The omelette is so fluffy!

It is the best omelette in my life.

 

If you like Dashi flavor, you must like it.

 

 

 

 

 

⓷Croquette

 

 

Seafood monja croquette/ Tsukiji croquette

 

It is Monjayaki inside. The shop has so many flavors such as Mentaiko, kimuchi, sea food and curry.

The ingredients doesn’t include potatoes like nomal croquette.

 

 

 

 

④Fish BBQ

 

Fish BBQ/ Yakiuo Ishikawa

 

It’s my best recommendation.

 

I’ve never heard “Fish BBQ”.

Japanese people eat fish in a BBQ party, but fish cannot be the main in the party bacically.

 

The fish are really fresh. We can eat as Sashimi(row fish).

However, in this restaurant, we roast the fish. The rice is vinegared.

 

It’s so amazing.

In conclusion about Tsukiji outer market

 

There are lots of classic things of Japan, so even just shopping is fun for you.  

 

If you go to Tsukiji to eat something, you have to go there in the morning around 9AM. Be careful about that.
